Stefano Lavarini will continue his adventure at the helm of Igor Gorgonzola Novara at least until June 2024, the club officially announced.
At the end of January, the option that would allow the coach to terminate the existing contract with Igor Gorgonzola Novara expired and despite offers from other European clubs, Stefano Lavarini decided to stay and continue to lead Novara in the 2023/2024 season.
Lavarini has been the head coach of Igor Gorgonzola Novara since 2020 (season 2020/21), and next season will be his fourth. Since last year, he has also been the head coach of the Polish women’s national team.
