In the 14th round of the Polish PlusLiga, there were some surprising results and closely fought matches. Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie secured a 3-1 victory against Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn Koźle, marking their fourth consecutive win. Despite the commendable performance by ZAKSA’s key players, including Łukasz Kaczmarek who scored 24 points, it was their seventh defeat of the season. The MVP of Aluron, setter Miguel Tavares, played a significant role in securing the win.
In another match, Exact Systems Hemarpol Częstochowa continued to impress by defeating Trefl Gdańsk with a score of 3-1. The standout player Dulski delivered an outstanding performance with 25 points, helping his team clinch their third consecutive victory and secure tenth place in the league standings. Trefl Gdańsk, now placed fifth in the league table, has been struggling in recent away matches.
The most thrilling match of this round was between Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and Bogdanka LUK Lublin which went down to a five set battle. Asseco Resovia’s Jakub Kochanowski stood out and earned himself the MVP title for his pivotal role in guiding his team to a hard fought 3-2 victory. Despite having six opportunities to win the match, Lublin was unable to take advantage and only managed to earn a one point.
