Zawiercie Too Strong for Warszawa in Second Semifinal

Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie swept PGE Projekt Warszawa (25:18, 25:21, 25:21) in a match that highlighted Zawiercie’s aggressive play and sharp focus. The Jurassic Knights, as they’re famously known, took control early and never looked back.

  • MVP Karol Butryn delivered a standout performance, notching 17 points with 50% attack efficiency, 2 aces, and 1 block.
  • Key support came from Aaron Russell (13 pts) and Bartosz Kwolek (12 pts).
  • Zawiercie dominated statistically, winning the battle in attack, service, and blocks (9–7), while making fewer unforced errors (17 vs. 20).

Despite strong efforts from Kevin Tillie and Linus Weber, who both scored 11 points, Warszawa struggled with poor serve reception and couldn’t match the energy of their opponents.

Jastrzębie Handles Lublin in First Semifinal

Earlier in the day, JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel delivered a cool and clinical performance, defeating Bogdanka LUK Lublin 3–0 (25:23, 25:23, 25:23). The match was closer on the scoreboard but always under Jastrzębie’s control.

  • MVP Benjamin Toniutti orchestrated the offense brilliantly, helping his team stay one step ahead throughout the match.
  • Łukasz Kaczmarek led the charge with 15 points, while Timothee Carle and Tomasz Fornal each added 13.
  • Anton Brehme also contributed 10 points, showing Jastrzębie’s well-rounded attack.
  • Lublin’s top scorer, Kewin Sasak, managed 16 points, and Wilfredo Leon chipped in with 11—but the team couldn’t maintain pressure consistently.
