UNI Opole bounced back in style to defeat ITA Tools Stal Mielec 3–1 in the second match of the Tauron Liga quarter-finals, leveling the best-of-three series and forcing a decisive clash next week.

After dropping the opening encounter, the Opole side showed resilience on Saturday. Although Stal Mielec claimed the first set 25–21, the visitors quickly seized control, dominating the next three sets (25–15, 25–13, 25–21) to even the series at 1–1.
A standout performance from Katarzyna Zaroślińska-Król powered UNI Opole to victory. The experienced attacker delivered 22 points and was named MVP. She was well supported by Elan McCall (20 points) and Hanna Hellvig (19), as Opole’s superiority at the net proved decisive, particularly in blocking, where they overwhelmed Stal 16–3.
For the hosts, Aleksandra Kazała (15 points) and Anna Bączyńska (13) led the scoring but were unable to halt Opole’s momentum after the opening set.
The decisive third match will take place on April 1 in Opole, with a semi-final spot on the line.
Meanwhile, KS DevelopRes Rzeszów confirmed their championship credentials with a dominant straight-sets victory over Metalkas Pałac Bydgoszcz, sealing the quarter-final series 2–0. After winning 3–0 at home, the defending champions repeated the feat away from home with an emphatic 25–11, 25–13, 25–14 triumph.
In other matches, BKS Bostik ZGO Bielsko-Biała defeated ŁKS Commercecon Łódź 3–1, recovering from a slow start to take control of the match. In another tightly contested clash, PGE Budowlani Łódź edged Lotto Chemik Police 3–2 in a thrilling five-set battle. After losing the first two sets, the Łódź side staged a comeback, saving a match point in the fourth set before closing out the tie-break 15–9.
