In the season when they celebrate 65 years from establishing themsleves, Olsztyn are unbeatable in their „Sports Aren Urania“.
In front of packed stands filled with 2,390 fans wearing green and white, five-time Polish champions prevailed over favorites, Trefl.
Bartosz Bednorz stood out in Olsztyn with 20 points while Belgian Bram van den Dries added 18. Mateusz Mika was the best player in Trefl with 20 poits, followed by American Murphy Troy with 13.
It was also a win of one Italian over another. Andrea Gardini, the coach of Olsztyn outsmarted compatriot Andrea Anastasi, on the other side.
Trefl remained fourth with 9-2 record (23 points), while Olsztyn climbed to seventh place with 6-5 and 18 points.
