POL W: Impel Wroclaw and Atom Trefl Sopot won’t play in European competition!

Two more teams from Poland have announced that they won’t take part in the European competition next season.

After the men’s team Lotos Trefl Gdansk, two women’s team withdrew from an European Cup as well – Impel Wroclaw and PGE Atom Trefl Sopot will not play in the CEV Champions League.

Until we change the formula of the tournament, there is no sense to play in it. Unless you have a team that gives you a chance to win the Champions League. At this moment, we can’t afford it” says Jacek Grabowski, the president of Impel Wroclaw.

Despite reaching the place that leads to Champions League next season, the team PGE Atom Trefl Sopot  decided not to participate in this competition. The reason of withdrawing from the competition are the financial issues” reports the official website of Atom Trefl Sopot.

Chemik Police will compete in the CEV Champions League. Now, we have to see who will replace these two teams…
