The management of the Polish team decided not to extend the contract with Banderó as they were not satisfied with the way he integrated with the rest of the team upon coming to full health “which had a negative impact on the atmosphere in the team”. Częstochowa also announced that Brazilian player has received all the payments for a previous season.

The player himself responded to the club via Facebook and assured that this will not be the end of the steps on his part.

“I never spoke about financial problems and never said bad things about AZS Częstochowa. If the club doesn’t want to extend the contract with me, it’s their choice, but they can’t write anything bad about me and I can’t agree with this. And it’s only because I never got a response from the club. Within a few days, I will prepare a statement on this situation,” Banderó wrote.
