POL M: Trefl set new club record, impressive display of Kaczmarek didn’t help Lubin avoid loss to Łuczniczka

Trefl Gdańsk defeated Cerrad Czarni Radom by a 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-16) in Round 28 of the Polish men’s volleyball championship Plus Liga 2017/2018.

Trefl took over the third-place in the Plus Liga standings from ONICO Warszawa as they beat Czarni in straight sets. At the same time, Trefl set the new club record in the number of consecutive wins in local tournaments – 12 (10 in Plus Liga and 2 in the national cup).

Damian Schulz scored 16 points (2 aces, 3 kill blocks) for the winning side. The American Daniel Mcdonnell made 82% attack (9/11).

Łuczniczka Bydgoszcz won two valuable points in their battle to avoid relegation. They outplayed Cuprum Lubin on the road in five sets.

Paweł Gryc topped Łuczniczka with 20 points (82% attack, 18/22, 1 error), while Mateusz Sacharewicz made 5 kill blocks. Łukasz Kaczmarek scored 33 points for Lubin (2 aces, 7 kill blocks!). Piotr Hain recorded 80% attack (12/15).
