Zenit Saint-Petersburg caught momentum in the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch regular season. After beating Dinamo Moscow with a 3-1 (27-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20), the team coached by Tuomas Sammelvuo recorded the fourth successive win and moved up to fourth place in the charts. Zenit were led by German opposite hitter György Grozer, who poured in 25 points of which as many as 9 in the opening set! Ivan Iakovlev made 5 kill blocks.

Even without Viktor Poletaev, who spent the whole match on the bench, Kuzbass prevailed over Nova. The absence of their top scorer was more than noticeable in the play of the champions who needed five sets to break the resistance of the last-placed side. It was Kuzbass’ fifth win in a row.

Lokomotiv easily defeated powerhouse Belogorie, whose poor campaign continued (10th in the standings), to keep the No.1, while Fakel have returned to the winning paths.
