Enisey
The seventh-seed Enisey stunned sixth-seed Fakel at home in the first round of the playoffs of the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch: 3-2 (25-19, 31-29, 22-25, 23-25, 15-13).
The difference between these two teams in the charts of the regular season almost didn’t exist but the fact that Fakel are the quarterfinalists of the ongoing CEV Champions League put them in the position of heavy favorites. However, Enisey are now closer to advancing to the Final Six. The rematch will be held in six days in Novy Urengoy. In case of a tie (1-1) and both teams record wins of the same value, the Golden Set will decide on the progression to the next round. Ukrainian Ian Iereshchenko top-scored for Enisey with 30 points, including as many as 8 aces! Dmitriy Volkov tallied 25 points for the losing side.
In other duels, favorites Kuzbass, Dinamo Moscow, and Zenit Saint Petersburg achieved successes.
