Dynamo Moscow clinched their sixth Russian Cup title, overpowering Leningradka Saint Petersburg in a straight-set victory (25-17, 25-20, 25-21) at the St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University Sports Complex. This triumph marks a successful defense of their title from the previous year, a significant milestone in the 31st edition of the national women’s Cup.

The match opened with Dynamo quickly gaining the upper hand. Their precise and steady gameplay, highlighted by effective serves, gave them an early lead. Leningradka countered through the powerful plays of Irina Koroleva and aggressive serves by Valeria Romanova, but Dynamo’s Victoria Pushina and Ekaterina Evdokimova were formidable in attack and blocking, securing the first set for Moscow. The second set mirrored the first, with Dynamo establishing an early lead. Despite a valiant effort from Leningradka, Dynamo maintained their momentum, taking the set and edging closer to victory. The final set saw Dynamo again taking the lead. Leningradka rallied, but Dynamo’s consistent performance in blocking and attack ultimately sealed their victory and the championship title.

Notable performances included Irina Kapustina of Dynamo, who scored 17 points, and Leningradka’s Anastasia Chernova and Yulia Kutuykova, each contributing 10 points to their team.
