“I don’t know. My contract expires soon” stated Marichev for Sport-Express.
He repeated again that team just hasn’t had enough time to prepare for such a strong tournament.
“Gamova joined the squad only 20 days before the World Championship, we had to use some players on the positions they are not playing at in their clubs… We had to change the whole concept and we did not have enough time for quality work” concluded coach, whose contract with the Russian Volleyball Federation expires at the end of 2015.
