At the meeting of the board of the Russian Volleyball federation, Vladimir Alekno has been officially appointed for the head coach of national team.

Alekno will replace Andrey Voronkov who resigned due to 10 consecutive defeats in World League!
It won’t be Alekno’s first time to lead Russian national team, as he already was a coach in 2008 and then from 2010 to 2013!
Alekno is currently a head coach of Zenit Kazan as well.
