RUS M: Who may replace Alekno? Rumors say – It will be a foreigner!

Everything suggests that Vladimir Alekno will leave the bench of Russia...

A week ago Russian media published that Vladimir Alekno will not remain the head coach of Russian men’s national team. They also added that there are two main candidates to replace him – Plamen Konstantinov (current head coach of Lokomotiv Novosibirsk & Bulgaria national team) and Boris Grebennikov (current head coach of Ural Ufa).

Both of them are foreign coaches, while it seems that the Russian Volleyball Federation will indeed entrust the men’s volleyball team to a non-Russian expert.

“I have heard rumors that the new coach will be a foreigner,” said Russian player Alexander Volkov for sportbo.ru.

However, do not forget that Vladimir Alekno stated today that he still has not discussed anything about his future with the Russian Volleyball Federation
