SRB W: Young Zvezda ready for match against Igtisadchi in CL

by WoV

Crvena Zvezda is entering fourth consecutive Champions League season and their chances for advancing are quite slim. Luck hasn't been their ally trough out these years in CL and now they have to face Dinamo Moscow, Igtisadchi and Piacenza.

”We have already said at our latest conference that there are no weak opponents in this competition. First game against Azerbaijan team is a huge challenge for us considering their stacked roster. Their style of play is unusual for us with a lot of quick counter attacks. There are a lot of internationals in their team that are quality players but I’m sure that we can compete with them”, coach Pavličević said.

Team captain Julija Milovits is looking forward to challenge: ”It’s going to be a nice adventure and as a captain I would like to say that my whole team is honored to play in this competition. First challenge will be to make use of our practice, and if we can be successful by doing so, that will be amazing.”

”We will give everything we have to win but at the same time we are fully aware of the opponents that are upon us. Our task is clear, we need to use the experience from this game to grow as a team. Never the less we are not going to surrender even though we are the underdogs” said middle blocker of Crvena Zvezda Mina Popovic.
