Serbia
Serbian crew were simply dominant against their rivals, and they especially showed that in the third set. Czech Republic was up by 13:10, but then Serbia made 10:0 run and went ahead at 20:13!!! 10:0! Maja Ognjenović had 9 serves in a row! You do not see that often in volleyball. Girls led by Zoran Terzić closed the game easily after that and qualified for the second stage.
The top scorers in the winning side were Tijana Bošković with 19 points and Brankica Mihajlović with 14. In Czech team, Aneta Havlickova made 13 points.
But, guess what – Italy also made a 10:0 run today at EuroVolley! After losing the 3rd set against Slovenia, Azzurri were so furious that they opened the 4th with 10:0 lead… Od course, they won the set and the match afterward. Cristina Chirichella was the top scorer with 19 points.
