In women’s competition, Maja Ognjenović, the setter of Italian Nordmeccanica Piacenza, took award for the second consecutive time. Serbia’s female national team had a great year by winning bronze medal at the CEV European Championship and silver at the FIVB World Cup, which secured them a spot at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Among the men’s players, Marko Podraščanin, the middle blocker of Italian Cucine Lube Banca Marche Civitanova, was announced the best. His NT took silver medal at the FIVB World League, but has a tough job to qualify for the Olympic Games throughout Qualification Tournament in Berlin, on January 5-10.
