In women’s competition, Tijana Bošković, the opposite of Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul, took award, before two years she was elected as the best young player of Serbia. Serbia’s female national team had a great year by winning silver medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
“I am very happy for this award, especially because it came this year, when we achieved an incredible result at the Olympic Games in Rio,” Boskovic said.
Among the men’s players, Marko Ivović, the attacker of Polish Asseco Resovia RZESZOW was announced the best. His NT for the first time in history took the gold medal at the FIVB World League and he was MVP.
“This year we won the gold medal in the World League, the first in our history. I am proud of that and this prize will surely be an additional reason for me to contribute even more in the future to the success of our national team,” said Marko Ivovic.
