TUR W: Eczacibasi’s 13th win in a row and counting, Vakifbank survive clash vs. Besiktas

Eczacibasi have stayed as the only undefeated team in the Turkish championship.

They have easily downed Halkbank on the road in straight sets 25-14, 25-15, 25-15. Gozde Yilmaz was the best scorer with 16 points, while Kim Yeon Koung added 13 points. Tijana Boskovic and Jordan Larson have skipped the game.

Vakifbank have barely managed to defeat Besiktas at the home court. The reigning champs didn’t start in a good way as they lost the first set. However, they managed to make a comeback and to take the lead 2-1. Besiktas took the fourth to tie the game and to force the tie-break. In the fifth set, Guidetti’s side prevailed over the rival to take the important win.

Kelsey Robinson was the top scorer with 22 points, Milena Rasic added 18 and Lonneke Sloetjes had 17 points. On the other side, Olesia Rykhliuk scored 23 points.

Vakifbank – Besiktas 3-2 (18-25, 25-14, 25-20, 16-25, 15-9)

Fenerbahce – Beylikduzu 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-22)

Halkbank – Eczacibasi 0-3 (14-25, 15-25, 15-25)
