Turkey have won the Balkan Championship U 17 for girls after beating Romania in the final 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-22)

Best libero Gülce Güçtekin

Best libero Gülce Güçtekin

It was a great and uncertain game but fortunately for the Turkish fans, their team won it and took the gold medal.

In a game for the third place, Bulgaria defeated Serbia 3-2.

Turkey received two individual awards and it’s interesting that one went into the hands of a very talented libero Gülce Güçtekin. It’s not her first award, since she already got an award at the EuroVolley U17 last year and this time she was again one the best players of the team throughout the tournament.

Individual Awards

Best Middle Blocker: Hena Kurtagic (Serbia)

Best Setter: Borislava Licneva (Bulgaria)

Best Opposite: Alexia Carutasu (Romania)

Best Libero: Gülce Güçtekin (Turkey)

1st place game:
