Halkbank showed Spor Toto they need to work much harder if they want to hope for the title in the 2020/21 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi. In Round 10 of the regular season, the Ankara side, led in scoring by Cuban Fernando Hernández (21 points) prevailed in straight sets, partially 25-18, 25-21, and 26-24. Brazilian Wallace Souza was the only player in double digits on the scoresheet on the losing side (21 points).

The fiercest sports rivals in Turkey locked horns today. Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta bounced back from a one-set deficit to surpass Galatasaray HDI Sigorta: 3-1 (27-29, 25-23, 27-25, 25-21). Metin Toy stood out in the fifth successive victory of ’Fener’, putting down 29 points. Puerto Rican Maurice Torres scored 25 points for Galatasaray, whose five-game run came to an end.

Arkas Spor (Efe Mandıracı 18 points, Mert Matić and Mustafa Koç 4 blocks apiece) downed İstanbul BBSK in four sets and extended the series of wins to three.
