A 23-year-old outside hitter Hande Baladın, who grew up as a player in the Eczacıbaşı academy, has extended the contract with the Istanbul club.
She has made her breakthrough to the senior team in the 2015/16 season and achieved a lot of great successes with the ‘The Tigers’ afterward. The Turkey National Team member won the FIVB Club World Championship, CEV Cup, Turkish Cup, and Turkish Super Cup one-time each in the jersey of Eczacıbaşı.
Apart from renewing with Hande, Eczacıbaşı are interested in having the Serbian Maja Ognjenović back. One of the best setters in the world served Eczacıbaşı for two consecutive seasons – 2016/17 and 2017/18. According to To Fly Volleyball, signing Ognjenović from big rivals VakıfBank for the next season is only a matter of formality.
