Away team started much better with 8-4 lead. Soon it was 16-9, and it was clear that VakifBank will seize the opening set.
But with help of 300 fans at the stands, Galatasaray was absolutely equal with strong opponent in second set. Even better at the start. Home team was leading at both TTO (8-7, 16-15), had two set balls at 24:23 and 25:24… But didn’t use any of them. And punishment was ruthless. VakifBank made a turnaround and was two sets ahead.
Even after this shock red and yellows continued to fight. They were in the game until 21-21, but again weren’t able to hold out to the end.
Best scorer in away team was Jovana Brakočević with 20 points, while Gozde made 13. In Galatasaray the most efficent plazer was Montano with 20, and Ozsoy added 10.
