The world champion with the Serbia Women’s Volleyball National Team a few months ago, Katarina Lazović, continued her career in Turkey.
Right after the season in China ended, Lazović returned to Europe.
The biggest chances to engage a 22-year-old outside hitter, who started 2022–23 with Beijing, were given to the reigning European and world club champions, VakıfBank, who intend to say goodbye to American Kara Bajema. However, according to Turkish media, Lazović, the FIVB World Championship winner in 2022 with Serbia, has decided to play for another Turkish club, Çukurova Belediye Adana Demirspor. Lazović chose the Misli.com Sultanlar Ligi newcomers to spend more time on the court given that the competition for a place in the lineup at VakıfBank would be much fiercer.
Before going to the Chinese league, Lazović played for Vero Volley Milano in Italy.
