The tournament will open on Saturday, September 27, at 16:00 local time with the Halkbank vs. ISTANBUL BBSK fixture at the Burhan Felek volleyball hall in Istanbul and will last for three days. After that Galatasaray will play agains Olympiacos.
Sinan Cem Tanik, newly appointed Galatasaray FXTCR team manager, stated:
“We are delighted to be organizing this memorial tournament for the third time. We hope the tournament will be a good start for the new season. It is important to have such organizations in order to promote volleyball throughout the year. This year we wanted to do everything we can to bring more people to the hall. We have been working in collaboration with the Turkish federation for the tournament. A newly added feature is that this year the tournament offers free entrance for the spectators. We are hoping to create more and more volleyball fans each and every day.”
