Halkbank
Şahinbey Belediye tried to repeat what Tokat Belediye Plevne did in previous round, but this time, Halkbank was ready.
Turkish runners-up beat home team 3-1 (21-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-17), closed Round 8 and climbed to the top spot in the standings with 17 points.
Dutch Dick Kooy stood out in Halkbank with 17 while Frenchman Kévin Le Roux followed with 14 points. The Pole Michał Kubiak was not in protocol.
Croatian Ivan Raić had 19 and Bosnian Armin Mustedanović added 16 in Şahinbey who spoiled good start of the season with third consecutive defeat.
