Demir Neslihan is convinced that her team is capable of repeating the success from four years ago when Turkey won the qualifying tournament and advanced to the Olympic Games in London.
“This might be the very last Olympic Games for myself and other experienced players. We made it happen the last time and I am confident we can do it again. I hope we will be the eventual winners of the tournament and get the ticket to Rio. We are ready and in high spirits. Such European qualifiers are always extremely competitive and packed with strong teams. We should focus on every match and take each and every one as a final. Our first game against Croatia will be a crucial one. We should win that match as it would boost our confidence and that would be good for our morale.”
