TUR M: Ziraat experienced nightmare in İstanbul, Milli Piyango marching towards playoff

İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi (İstanbul BBSK) are definitely not joking this season. They beat another favorites and seriously became involved in the battle for the second place in the standings in the Turkish championship.

At home court, İstanbul downed one of title contenders and the CEV Champions League Playoffs 12 participants, Ziraat Bankası, 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-20)!

With this win, İstanbul occupied second place on the table having the same number of points with Fenerbahçe but with one match less played comparing to them.

American William Price scored 13 points for the winning team. Estonian Oliver Venno had 10 in Ziraat.

In direct battle for entering playoffs, Maliye Milli Piyango (Serhat Coşkun 23 pts.) defeated İnegöl Belediyesi (3-2).
