After suffering fourth consecutive defeat in the tournament, Italy moved themselves away from the Final Six, while Brazil keep pace near the top of the standings in Group 1 overall.
Brazil’s block and far too many errors of Italy (36) were decisive elements in the match which was played in the Turkish capital Ankara.
Paola Egonu from Italy scored game-high 26 points. On the other side, Natália Pereira collected 17 points.
