The Turkish team opened the operations on Friday by beating Serbia’s Partizan Termoelektro BEOGRAD 3:1 (25-19, 25-20, 22-25, and 25-19) before on Saturday the team from the Serbian capital city edged the hosts of Stiinta Explorari BAIA MARE 3:2 (20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-16, and 15-9) coming back from two sets down. On Sunday ISTANBUL BBSK cruised to a straight win over the Romanian team (25-18, 25-16, and 25-16) to claim the Balkan title and with it also a spot in the European Cups.
