Although we showed some weaknesses and made mistakes, we did a good job last week in Poland” says head coach Lorenzo Micelli. “It was very important to start the competition with a win. We will play our second match with Azerrail, another pre-favorite to finish on top of the group. They have very good and strong players but we are improving the quality of our play after every game and with the support of our fans we would like to win”.

This is our first home match but our goal remains to make it to the last stage of the competition and we believe we can achieve this result. We are working hard also to score another win as we play Azerrail on Wednesday” says team captain Esra Gümüs.

After the first round of action in Pool D, Azerrail and Eczacibasi have both three points but BAKU leads having a better point ratio.
