These two teams are the favorites for winning the spot for the Tokyo Olympics and it seems that the game between them will decide who will earn it.

China have opened the tournament with a convincing 3-0 win over the Czech Republic.

Andrea Kossanyiova scored a match-high 17 points for the Czechs but could not bring her team a win as Rio Olympic gold medallists Zhu Ting, Yuan Xinyue, Zhang Changning and Gong Xiangyu all scored in double-digits, jointly scoring 44 points for the home team.

Giovanni Guidetti’s side has also scored the win at the start of the tournament. They defeated Germany in four sets.

Ebrar Karakurt and Eda Erdem Dundar teamed up to lead Turkey with 16 and 15 points, respectively, outperforming their German rivals Jana Franziska Poll and Louisa Lippmann, who had 14 markers each.
