A new initiative is bringing volleyball strength and conditioning coaches together from around the globe. The newly formed (Asociación de Preparadores Físicos de Voleibol – APFV) has officially launched—creating the first international network of volleyball S&C coaches in South America and beyond.
Held virtually on May 25, the inaugural event brought together over 200 coaches and training professionals from Argentina, Spain, Colombia, Italy, and more. The goal? To build a strong, science-driven community that supports continuous education and collaboration in volleyball strength and conditioning training.
Led by respected figures like Professors Sergio Parra and Marcelo Magliarella, APFV introduced its 2025–2026 academic program, including certifications, partnerships with global institutions, and a soon-to-be-announced international symposium in July 2025.
More than just a launch, the event marked the beginning of a united effort to elevate the role of strength and conditioning coaches in the sport.
