Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76 has pulled off one of the standout moves of the offseason, signing Italian star middle blocker Marina Lubian.

Lubian arrives from Imoco Volley Conegliano, where she enjoyed a trophy-filled run that included four Serie A titles and two Champions League victories. Lubian also played a important role in Italy’s historic gold medal triumph at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Still only 24, the Piedmont native said Chieri’s identity and competitive spirit made the decision easy.
“Chieri has always been a club I admired,” Lubian said. “They fight with everyone despite not having the resources of the biggest teams. I was looking for fresh motivation and a place where I could really challenge myself again.”
Lubian also spoke warmly about the atmosphere in Chieri, describing the club’s arena as one of the most difficult venues for visiting teams.
Closer to home and ready for a new chapter, the Italian star says she is eager to get back on court and bring her energy and experience to Chieri next season.
