Maciej Muzaj, the Plus Liga 2018/2019 regular season best scorer (542 points) and player with most MVP of the Match awards (seven), will compete in the Russian top division next season.
Muzaj spent most of the ongoing season in Trefl Gdańsk before he moved to ONICO Warzsawa for the Plus Liga 2018/2019 playoff semifinals on the basis of medical transfer, while he agreed to terms with Gazprom-Yugra Surgut for the 2019/20 season.

To go where? All top PlusLiga teams have their squads sealed and he won’t get the salary he deserves in the weaker teams. Not to mention you don’t travel to Surgut, in center of nowhere, just because you’d like to freeze to death. All top players will go to a club which offers playing regularly in CL and primarily – big money.
