Floortje Meijners is a new player of Saugella Team Monza for the 2019/20 season, coming from the current CEV Cup winners Unet E-work Busto Arsizio.
For a 32-year-old outside hitter, Monza will be the fourth Italian team whose colors she has defended. So far, Meijenrs had a lot of success playing in this country as she won the national league and Cup three times each, national Super Cup once (was named MVP), and CEV Cup twice.
With the Dutch national team, for which she made her debut 14 years ago, Meijners claimed the 2007 FIVB World Grand Prix.
A bit earlier, Monza signed teenager middle blocker Federica Squarcini and another youngster Josephine Obossa (both from Canovi Coperture Sassuolo, Division 2), the country’s national team middle blocker Anna Danesi (Imoco Volley Conegliano) and few more newcomers.
