Alessandro Chiappini has been officially named head coach of Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos.

Chiappini, currently leading the Hungarian national team in the ongoing CEV Golden League, is on the verge of a major breakthrough as Hungary eyes qualification for the Final Four.
The veteran expert previously helmed Polish club LKS Commercecon Łódź, where he was controversially replaced just before the playoffs, despite leading the league table with two rounds left in the regular season. His replacement failed to secure the championship, which only highlighted Chiappini’s impact.
Now, with a new challenge ahead, Chiappini is expected to bring more tactical discipline and a fresh winning mentality to Panathinaikos.
