Prosecco DOC A.Carraro Imoco Volley Conegliano announced that Brazilian star Gabriela Braga Guimaraes – Gabi signed a contract extension that will keep her at the club until the end of the 2028/2029 season.
The 30-year-old outside hitter, who arrived in Conegliano in 2024, is the captain of the Brazilian national team and one of the most prominent figures in world volleyball. In comments released by the club, Gabi pointed to the team’s competitive level, the professionalism of the staff, and the overall environment in Conegliano as key reasons behind her decision.
Club co-president Pietro Maschio said the renewal reflects the club’s growth and ambition, noting that Gabi chose to stay despite interest from top international teams. He added that maintaining continuity remains a priority as the club looks ahead.
The extension comes as Conegliano continues to build stability, following recent confirmations of head coach Daniele Santarelli and opposite Isabelle Haak.
