In the only match of Round 3 of the 2022-23 Italian Men’s Volleyball Championship on Saturday, October 15, Sir Safety Susa Perugia stopped the run of this season’s revelation, WithU Verona.
The opening of the third round of the 2022–23 SuperLega Credem Banca, which has surprisingly become a clash at the top of the standings, ended with a win in three sets by Perugia. After having collected the ’scalps’ from Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza and Itas Trento, Verona suffered their first defeat of the season on the court of Andrea Anastasi’s team. It’s the third triumph, however, for the ’Block Devils’, who are thus temporarily alone at the top of the standings, waiting for tomorrow’s third-round matches.
The Luxembourger-Italian Kamil Rychlicki from Perugia scored a match-high 17 points, including 4 blocks. The Russian Maksim Sapozhkov tallied 15 for Verona.
