The Turkish women’s volleyball side Fenerbahçe Opet decided to waive Mexican outside hitter Samantha Bricio.

According to our sources, Fenerbahçe decided not to keep Samantha Bricio for one more season.

But, the youngest ever female volleyball player to play for Mexico national team in its history did not have a problem to find herself a new club. A 24-year-old Bricio will compete in the 2019/20 in a league as strong as the Turkish – Italian league. She will play for Savino Del Bene Scandicci which will be her return to the Italian top division after a year as she competed for Imoco Volley Conegliano from 2016 to 2018.

One of the reason’s for Bricio’s leaving Fenerbahçe is the fact that the Istanbul team agreed to terms with Serbian player Mihajlović

But today she helped to crush Vakif. She is good, i compare her with Gabi. If Fener would win…i wish they win ! I thought she want to go to Italy, strange.

I read she said earlier that she is leaving to go back to the Italian league. Was she really waived? She is a great player. She is one of the reason why Fenerbahe is doing so well this season along with Vargas.

Fener should not let Bricio go. It is a massve mistake of Terzic.
If he really wants Mihajlovic, let club buy her too.

If the rumour is true , it’s a good desicion . I’m supporting it . If we will be in great competition we need more powerful player . I watched Logan , Shashkova , Natalia , F.Gray in this position in the past .. This players quality were more better than her .
She makes much mistakes when receiving services . And her attacks are not as well as successful we are waiting from her . So , in my opinion ı’m glad this decision .

Re: @doğan are you serious!?? This decision was made by Bricio herself. She does not wanna stay in Constantinople, she wanna return to Italy because she is unhappy. Are you able to understand this bitter fact!!! Players like Fe Garay, Fabiana chose to play in Fener in order to make more money. After playing 1 season, they all left! Same is valid for Bricio. GO GIRL!!!

Brazil Girl ,
Firstly you have to learn our city name . It is Istanbul . Not constantinople . And ı don’t care other players decision .For money or not . I don’t care .This is none of my business . I only interested with their quality . And their quality were much more better than her .. But , ı agree the same you same ‘ GO GIRL ‘.

Brazilian girl ,
Have you learned history lesson from music or gym . teacher ? You should work much more for learning city names . And for your information ; Shaskova and Natalie both played two years in Fenerbahçe .. Not one year . You have to need much effort for knowledgement for this subject too .
And this a question : Is Bricio playing here for ‘ Mexican food Taco ‘ ? As ı understanding your comment she doesn’t earn money here .

Well, in my opinion some people around here think that they have an elite team and it is still not like that; Not at least the recent years. Samy is one of the best in her position in the world today and she certainly contributed to Fenerbahce this season; I agree that it was not her best season since playing for Europe, but of course she was a key player for Fener to reach the semifinals in the champions league, and stayed among the top 3 in Turkey. (It is enough to check that of the 8 games that the fener lost, 6 went to the top of Europe this 2019 (2 Conegliano, 2 Vakibank and 2 with Eczacibasi, UEFA champion, second place in Europe and Turkish League champion, respectively !!!) If this does not convince you, then nothing will.
The Fener to be top must be top in all its lines, and that’s where it lacks balance; they lack a setter, a libero and a secure blocker, with whom Vargas (# 1), and Samy (# 2), split the game. Well, not to mention the coach, where it seems that the style is more sergeant than coach, (sometimes the girls do not seem to enjoy the game).
Anyway, if the Fener decided to let go of Samantha, it was an error because they could have matured their game, especially with the appropriate reinforcements, and if Bricio decided to look for other horizons better, Samy is a star and should go where he gets the 50 +1 % of the auctions, this is how the super talent takes advantage.

And sorry for my English, I’m practicing! hehe
Regards!

I’ve been a fan of Samantha Bricio since she was 17 years old and joined USC in the US. She will always be a queen and a legend in the sport whatever league or country she joins.
