Volleyball activities in Italy can officially be resumed.

The long-awaited decision of the government of a country that falls in the group of countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic – Italy – to reopen sports halls for training and matches has arrived. Thus, volleyball activities can officially be resumed after nearly five months.

By the Decree of the Italian Prime Minister, sporting events and competitions "recognized of national and regional interest by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and by the respective federations, or organized by international sports organizations" are allowed to be held behind closed doors or outdoors without the presence of the public. Of course, all this in compliance with the protocols issued by the respective national sports federations in order to prevent or reduce the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus among athletes, coaches, officials, and all accompanying persons who participate in them. At the same time, the training sessions of athletes, both professional and non-professional, of individual and team sports, are allowed behind closed doors as well.

Now it’s up to the country’s federation (FIPAV) to adjust its health protocol to allow volleyball truly reopen in the coming period.

ITALIAN CUP M: Verona and Piacenza disappoint once again

Piacenza will not have a good year with Hierrezuelo setting. He arrived unprepared and cannot set the front pin hitters and bic at all. Cleverly and Russell have no idea where those sets are going to be. The libero Scanferla is young and the staff is asking him to pass too much of the court.
Gardini is not leading this team in the right direction. Look for another setter quickly. Heck try Shaw there at this point.
Talent is wasting here.
