The Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV) informed that seven members of its national team that took part in the 2020 U20 EurVolley in the Czech Republic and won the silver medal were infected with the COVID-19.
Returning from the event and as established by the FIPAV procedure, a delegation of the Italy National Team was subjected to a swab before the definitive transfer to the places of their residence. The outcome of the tests was positive for seven members of the delegation which will be quarantined according to the protocols of the Italian government health authorities.
