Veteran outside hitter Nikola Kovačević, whose sibling Uroš has just won the 2019 EuroVolley MVP award (and a gold medal with Serbia), moved to Saudi Arabia. The 36-year-old outside hitter will play for the country’s powerhouse Al Hilal.

The team based in Riyadh will be the 17th destination in his professional career. Last season, he performed for BKS Visła Bydgoszcz, Poland. Kovačević had a successful international career, winning the 2011 CEV European Championship in which he was named Best Receiver.
