The Argentine international Pablo Crer is the new member of Trefl Gdansk.

The fact: It's going to be his first season in the best Polish men's volleyball league, PlusLiga.

Acquiring the 30-year-old is a great success for the team from Gdańsk. Pablo Crer is the champion of Argentina and the best middle of the 2016 World Club Championships. He played many games in the senior squad of his country. The young team from Gdansk needs experienced players and Crer fits this role perfectly. The Argentine player signed with Gdansk a one-year contract.

I am very happy to move to such a strong league as Polish PlusLiga. I must admit that one of the arguments for changing the club to Gdańsk was also coach Michał Winiarski. He was a great player and will certainly be a very great coach. I was always impressed with his game and I am very happy that we will be able to work together. I know Gdańsk from arrivals to various tournaments with the national team of Argentina and I am very happy that I will live in this beautiful city. I want to give as much as possible to the team and I will do everything to play as good as possible throughout the season,” says Pablo Crer.

The club has also reported that the middle blocker squad will be completed by Karol Urbanovicz.

FIVB drastically reduces number of players per team in Nations League?

While I understand and appreciate the VNL organizers and investors want the best product on the floor everytime and all the time, each of these federations also have financial , logistical and athletic investments to consider and protect. The demands in time, travel and player health is seriously tested during this event.
This move of roster limitations is not healthy for the sport. Growth and experience within each Federation can be achieved through the VNL and expanded rosters. Here is where the next generation of stars can play side by side or against today's stars and deeper interest in each country's rosters can be generated. In addition, we all have to realize that we want to make sure the 12 teams competing at the Olympics are at full strength. This move actually hurts that possibility.
The VNL is a great tourney and still evolving in my opinion but this move is a step back. I sure hope they reverse this Reply

True heroes of continental Olympic qualifications: Grozer and Kim

No words for those 2 heroes. Certainlly, I would say thank you both players. Thanks a lot. Reply

CL M: Decimated by injuries, Trentino fall to Lube in all-Italian derby

Something is not working well within Trentino this season. They have the same team as last year but no results. Lube is weaker than last year (Sokolov and Stankovic left) and yet they play better. Leal is playing more and Juantorena is a top-notch professional despite his age of 35, but still. Reply
