When one of the strongest men’s volleyball championships in the world, such as Polish PlusLiga, announces that two new tournament records are set, it is an outstanding news! Both records were set in one game, the one that Łuczniczka Bydgoszcz and Espadon Szczecin 3-2 (25-20, 25-21, 18-25, 40-42, 20-18) played three days ago, valid for Round 19:
1) number of points per match, 254 (improved by 5 points)
2) number of points per set, 82 (improved by 4 points).
Interestingly, three more records were also broken in the same game, but these apply to this season only: 1) the longest set, 55 minutes; 2) the longest tie-break, 23 minutes, and 3) the longest match, 159 minutes.
