Iraklis on top Panathinaikos on the rocks

After sixth round games Iraklis is on top with Olympiakos in the second place. On the other hand Panathinaikos is with one step in the second division without a win.

On Friday’s games Olympiakos won 3-0 over Aris. For the previous year’s champions Marek Novotny scored 14 and Andres Roland Himenez 11 points.
 
The same day Panathinaikos did not managed to get even a set against EAPatron (25-27, 23-25, 21-25) and continued facing huge problems. Anastasios Aspiotis with 18 points and Milan Jurisic with 10 pushed their team to a great victory. Also the middle blocker Georgios Papadopoulos was very effective for EAP.
 
Panathinaikos team decided to change the head coach Boutsouris with Dimitris Kazazis. Dimitris is the brother of Stelios the previous year’s coach of Panathinaikos.
 
On Saturday all games finished with the same score 3-1. Iraklis in Thessaloniki having the 40th year old Andreas Kravaric in a great day (25 points) managed to win 3-1 (25-16, 19-25, 25-16, 26-24) the local derby against PAOK. Although Iraklis had to play without the injured setter Kostas Prousalis and the Latvian outside hitter Medenis, the second setter of the team Theodoros Bosidis helped with his experience and Kostas Xristofidelis continued the his great performance for this season.

In Lamia the local team had lost from KIfisia 1-3 (17-25, 23-25, 25-22, 18-25). Also in Syros the local Foinikas lost from Ethinikos Alexandroupolis with the same score 1-3 (25-17, 22-25, 24-26, 22-25).
 
Finally Pamvohaikos won 3-1 (25-18, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22) over Kalamaria. For Pamvohaikos team the American diagonal Mark Dusharme was the star of the game scoring 22 points.
