Poland opened their 2026 Volleyball Nations League campaign with a straight-sets victory over Cuba, winning 25-16, 25-20, 25-21 in Linyi, China.

The Polish side held the edge in every statistical category, showcasing superior efficiency on both sides of the net. Poland converted 50 percent of their attacks compared to Cuba’s 40 percent, finishing with a 37-33 advantage in attack points. They also made a strong impact from the serve line, recording six aces to Cuba’s three, while dominating at the net with an 11-7 lead in blocks.
Bartosz Gomułka paced Poland with 15 points, while Jakub Majchrzak contributed 12. Cuba’s Alejandro Miguel Gonzalez led all scorers for his team with 14 points.
Poland’s disciplined performance was further reflected in the error count, as they committed just 14 unforced errors compared to Cuba’s 21, helping maintain control throughout the match.
