Christa Harmotto has made 15 points against Serbia in five-set thriller, 5 points against Netherlands and she was restin against Algeria.

1. How much are you satisfied with the game of your team up to now?

I believe we are learning and growing as a team and individuals, every match, so I am pleased with that. I’m not sure if teams should ever be satisfied because there is always room to grow, learn and get better.

2. Now you have a quite young team without big names such as Logan, Hook, Akinradewo …but you are still very good, how would you explain that?

We have a special environment that has evolved and continues to evolve in the USA gym this year. It is one that allows the young players to grow at a fast rate because the focus is on the process, taking risks, and doing the “little things” every day that allow us to build consistency. We focus on “rehearsing” every day for a match. Not doing anymore or any less than we would do for a match and practicing like we play. We hold each other to a high standard and expect the most out of each other.

3. Where does the strength of your team lie in?

The commitment to do the “little things” every day to get better and constantly is open to learning and growing. We talk about making simple, good plays every opportunity the ball is in our hands…a bunch of good plays leads to consistency and a strong team.

4. What do you expect this year from World Grand Prix? Are you going to win the trophy again?

I expect that our team continues to learn and improve every day we have the opportunity to compete with each other.

5. After many years you are leaving Italy and going to Turkey. As we are informed you are going to play in Eczacibasi, what are your expectations there?

Italy was special, and Modena is a place I will always consider “home” regardless of what happened last season. Eczacibasi is a successful club that has been in the business for many years. I sense a “family atmosphere”, which is why I was drawn to it. They seem to be focused on bringing in players that fit well into their program and can compete at the highest level during Champions League. I am excited to be a part of the Eczacibasi family. – said at the end of our conversation Christa Harmotto.
