Paola Egonu
After finishing in the second place of the Italian Serie A1 with Novara, Paola Egonu started preparing for the big challenges and one of the most important tournaments in every players’ career – the World Championship.
And there, Paola Egonu has made some cracking displays and records. In the semifinals of the World Champs, Paola Egonu scored 45 points to defeat mighty China, which is the World Record for the most points in a single game.
She had a great battle vs. Tijana Boskovic in the final, but didn’t manage to push Italy to the gold. However, she becomes the top scorer of the World Championship 2018.
At the beginning of 2018/2019 season, she pushed Novara to an outstanding 10-0 score in Serie A1… We’ll see how far they can go in 2019.
