Croatia will be the epicenter of world volleyball next summer. Teams from all over the world are coming to Zadar and this is an opportunity to show us how they support the Croatian national team. I am especially glad that the younger generations, as well as all fans of this sport, will have the opportunity to enjoy top-class volleyball, of course, if circumstances allow. We expect the Croatian national team to do their best and I believe that then the result will not be missed. The sports postcard that we will send from Zadar will also be a great promotion for the whole of Croatia. We believe that even more visitors will come to our country after this event. I invite all fans if the epidemiological situation allows us to join us and support our volleyball players as much as possible! ” – said the president of the Croatian Volleyball Association Ante Baković.

The Challenger Cup was scheduled to take place this summer but was canceled due to a coronavirus pandemic. Only the winning team achieves a place in the elite League of Nations, which guarantees that an exciting tournament awaits us in Zadar, which volleyball fans will enjoy. The tournament was launched to give the upcoming volleyball nations a chance to show their quality in front of the world volleyball public. The tournament features three teams from Europe and one each from North and South America, and one will compete in a group from Asia and Africa.

We are very pleased to be able to host a competition such as the Challenger, a qualification to enter the volleyball elite. Definitely, a tournament where we will see where we are at the current level. We hope that we will all be healthy and that the tournament will be played, it will be great preparation for the European Championship where we are also the hosts, and we hope that the competition will be possible for spectators as well. ” – said the captain of the Croatian national team Samanta Fabris.
